What We Do:

SAY has developed two main engaging and innovative 'life' skill workshops, 'Poetically Speaking' and 'Innov8 2 Elev8', which we deliver to young people between the ages of 9 - 25 years old (key stage 2 - 4 and beyond) in schools, colleges and other youth-related environments. We have also recently developed 3 new workshops - 'You Only Live Once', 'Musicology' and 'Poetically Speaking - Friendships & Bullying'!  As well as this, we deliver special Black History Month versions of our 'Poetically Speaking' and 'Innov8 2 Elev8' workshops in the month of October and provide a tailored workshop service called 'B-Spoke' where we create and deliver workshops to address topics specific to your needs and requirements. Our workshops are ideal for years 5 & 6 of Primary schools, all years of Secondary school and for older youth between the ages of 16 - 25 in a range of settings such as Colleges and youth organisations. Click on the links below to read a full summary of each of our workshops:

  • Poetically Speaking - The power & influence of words through poetry and 'how' to communicate more effectively

  • Innov8 2 Elev8 - Uses engineering principles to show students how to solve problems and achieve goals successfully

  • You Only Live Once - The importance of Motivation, Attitude, Self-Discipline and Time to be successful in life

  • Musicology - The reality of the music industry and alternative ways to be successful in music

  • B-Spoke - Flexible service where we tailor-make workshops to address specific needs for you and your students

We have worked with a number of schools, colleges and youth organisations across London, please click here to see who we have worked with. Our workshops can be delivered as 'extended programmes' that are implemented as weekly sessions over a number of weeks or as single one-off workshops. The benefit of the 'extended programmes' is that we are able to have a deeper and more lasting impact on the participants over the duration of the programme.

A single one-off workshop session can accommodate from 5 to 100 students and would ideally last the length of a double lesson (around 2 hours), but we can adjust its length (minimum 1 hour) and the number of students accommodated dependant on your requirements. We can be booked to deliver a single workshop session or a number of sessions during a day to deliver a 'SAY Day'! With our ability to accommodate up to 100 students in a single workshop session, there is the opportunity for a whole year group to be engaged in one school day if you book a 'SAY Day'!! To book SAY to deliver a workshop please click here.

Our workshops are also excellent for Teachers to experience and enjoy during training 'inset' days to gain an insight into their benefits to students and can also be delivered as afterschool clubs. Here’s a video of our 'Poetically Speaking' workshop in action!

"Schools are continuing to discover the power of partnership....in raising standards in education. More and more schools are realising they can harness the skills and expertise of big names in business, education and charities at a local level, improving outcomes for pupils and improving the stature of the school."
